Growing up it was pretty obvious that I had an intense focus and passion when working with my hands. I worked hard at whatever physical task was given to me, especially when it consisted of fixing or assembling things. I started as a hired construction apprentice, but soon realized that my craftsmanship and talent was finish carpentry. Still I worked very hard at 19 years old to learn everything I could about the trade, while still doing everything from fences, cabinets, doors, flooring, tiling, framing, etc. I learned a lot of my carpentry skills under perfectionist, who did not take shortcuts and took measures to make sure the all work was completed right the first time. I came to reside in Portland, OR in 2007, and have worked on so many homes here. I have spent more than 5 years installing basic and custom crown molding, wainscotting, trim for windows and doors, chair rails, tiling, and built in wood shelving. I’ve had the privilege to create and build a wine cellar from scratch. As my former employer was selling his luxury mansion last year the finish carpentry I completed was posted in the Oregonian last year.
